Louis and Zelie Martin, the parents of St. Therese, beatified six years ago today

Six years ago today, I was in Lisieux for the beatification of Louis and Zelie Martin.  To celebrate the anniversary, please share in the "virtual pilgrimage" I created when I returned home.  Walk in the footsteps of Louis, Zelie, and Therese at Alencon and at Lisieux and see highlights of the celebration,

Zelie and Louis Martin, the first spouses in the history of the Church to be proposed for sainthood as a couple, were declared "blessed" on October 19, 2008 in the basilica dedicated to their daughter at Lisieux. Follow in the steps of the pilgrims to their beatification. See photographs of them, their family, and their homes and churches in Alencon and Lisieux. Visit the historic exhibit "Story of a Family" mounted at Lisieux in honor of their beatification, which vividly recreates their lives using their furnishings, possessions, documents, and photographs. See photos of Pietro Schiliro, the Italian child who was healed at the intercession of Louis and Zelie. View photos of the beatification ceremonies and of the beautiful reliquary.
